Seadown Veterinary Facilities

Small Animal Facilities
The small animal hospital at Hythe has excellent parking and a large waiting area. Our vets
and nurses offer consultations by appointment from 8.30am to 7pm Monday-Friday. The hospital is also manned 24 hours a day with a full emergency
service. Our excellent
hospitalisation facilities can accommodate dogs, cats, rabbits, exotics and 'small furries'. We have an 'in-house' laboratory meaning samples can be analysed quickly and efficiently. Our up-to-date diagnostic equipment including digital x-ray, endoscopy and ultrasound means we can carry out involved investigations on site and advanced surgical procedures where necessary. We have two operating theatres, a preparation room and separate dental area. Our particular areas of interest include exotics, ophthalmology and orthopaedics. We have advanced equipment to accommodate this including an operating microscope for improved magnification during eye surgery. Our interactive map gives an idea of the layout of the practice and the facilities we offer.

Equine Facilities
The Equine Clinic became an accredited Tier 2 Practice in January 2009. The Practice Standards Scheme was introduced by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in January 2005, and is based on a 3 Tier System, with Tier 3 being full Hospital Status. To achieve Tier 2 status the practice voluntarily undergoes a rigorous inspection every 4 years by the Royal College, this inspection includes practice in-patient/out- patient facilities, the provision of 24 hour emergency care, equipment and staff training. We feel that this commitment is important in providing the highest professional standards and care to our clients.
